Caroline RoseChief Executive OfficerCaroline is a senior in American's School of International Service (SIS), studying U.S. Foreign Policy and Middle Eastern Studies. She joins the AMIRS executive board after studying abroad in the United Kingdom, where she studied Turkish-American relations and Arab nationalism at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Her classroom experience and internships in Washington and London have heavily contributed to Caroline's interest in policymaking in the Middle East and North African region.
Originally from Long Island, New York, she is the #1 fan of 'everything' cream cheese bagels and the New York Yankees. Caroline's favorite part of AMIRS has been the invigorating discussions that students engage in with guest speakers, and has made it her mission to expand the Society's accessibility to every AU student. Kris TrivediDirectorKris Trivedi is a senior in the School of International Service (SIS). Kris is a rising Senior in the School of International Service, majoring in International Relations with a concentration on U.S. Foreign Policy and National Security and Peace, Global Security, and Conflict Resolution. Kris is focusing on East Asia (specifically China, Japan, and the Korean Peninsula) and the region’s importance to the United States both in foreign policy and national security terms. He speaks Mandarin Chinese, having studied it for more than seven years, and hopes to teach English in Taiwan after graduation..He is from Chicago, Illinois where he was born, raised, and fully intends to die a Blackhawks fan.
